A new issue of the scientific and technical journal “Nuclear Energy and the Environment” No. 2(30) 2024

A new issue of the scientific and technical journal “Nuclear Energy and the Environment” has been released. The journal is co-founded by the Institute for Nuclear Power Plant Safety Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (INPP NAS of Ukraine) and the Ukrainian Nuclear Society.

Issue No. 2(30) 2024 includes articles dedicated to pressing topics in nuclear energy and radioecology, such as: a comparative evaluation of nuclear power plant sites using expert assessment of parametric criteria; the relevance and technical feasibility of transitioning away from hydrogen cooling in nuclear power plant turbogenerators; identification of deteriorated heat transfer conditions in channels of advanced light-water reactors with supercritical thermodynamic parameters; an analysis of radiation contamination in the impact zone of the research nuclear reactor of the Institute for Nuclear Research, NAS of Ukraine; results of equivalent dose rate monitoring of γ-radiation in the premises of the Chornobyl Shelter object; an assessment of the impact of natural fire consequences on forest ecosystems based on satellite imagery and forest inventory surveys, among other topics.
