Interesting about Nuclear Science. Methods for Studying the Radiation Resistance of Semiconductor Elements

The Ukrainian Nuclear Society presents another publication within the framework of the “Interesting about Nuclear Science” project: “Methods for Studying the Radiation Resistance of Semiconductor Elements of Control and Measurement Systems of Nuclear Physics Installations.” The authors – Yevhen Malyi, PhD in Physics, Acting Senior Researcher at the Institute for Nuclear Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and Dmytro Stratilat, postgraduate student, Leading Engineer of the Reactor Control Service at the Institute of Nuclear Research of the NASU.

The article explains why ensuring the stability of semiconductor devices in high-radiation environments is one of the important issues in the management of industrial processes in the nuclear, space and other industries, how, through the use of controlled flows of permeable radiation, adjustments and unification of the characteristics of many devices are carried out, how and where they are carried out similar studies in Ukraine.
