We present the second publication within the framework of the project “Interesting about Nuclear Science”.
For your attention the article “How complex and valuable is the simplest nuclear bomb.” Authored by Valeriy Zuyok, a Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences specializing in radiation physics and nuclear safety, the article sheds light on the principle of operation of nuclear weapons and the simplest nuclear bomb; what conditions and factors are necessary to create a powerful nuclear explosion and why it is by no means easy to achieve; how natural uranium is enriched and why the creation of nuclear weapons is impossible without it.
