The Future is Nuclear: Ukrainian Nuclear Society Strengthens Cooperation with Dnipropetrovsk Region
The Public Organization “Ukrainian Nuclear Society” (UkrNS) has officially formalized its strategic partnership by signing a trilateral Memorandum of Cooperation with the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Association of Local Self-Government Bodies and the Federation of Employers’ Organizations of the Dnipropetrovsk Region.
The Goal of the Partnership The purpose of this Memorandum is to consolidate efforts to develop the nuclear energy sector, specifically focusing on the construction of new nuclear power units and the promotion of educational, scientific, and innovative projects within Ukraine’s nuclear industry. The Dnipropetrovsk region, with its powerful industrial base and skilled engineering workforce, plays a critical role in the sustainable development of the sector.
Key Areas of Cooperation:
- Education and Science: Promoting educational initiatives, developing dual education programs, and training highly qualified specialists for the nuclear industry directly within the region.
- Joint Events: Organizing forums, conferences, seminars, and roundtables to facilitate knowledge exchange between government officials, academia, and business representatives.
- Innovation and Engineering: Supporting local enterprises in manufacturing equipment, providing maintenance services, and implementing advanced engineering solutions for nuclear power plants.
- Public Trust: Popularizing knowledge about the peaceful use of nuclear energy and building public confidence through transparent communication and educational outreach.
Prior to the signing ceremony, UkrNS representatives participated in a roundtable discussion with experts from “Energoatom,” scientists, and regional employers. We are convinced that this synergy between the professional community, industry leaders, and local authorities will serve as the foundation for Ukraine’s energy independence and security.
