The Third Season of the “Nuclear School” Project Has Started at Khmelnytskyi NPP

More than 30 senior students from lyceums and gymnasiums of the satellite city and the 30-km observation zone of KhNPP (including students of the Netishyn Professional Lyceum) will have the opportunity not only to gain knowledge in the field of nuclear energy but also to learn firsthand about the operation of the enterprise.

Volodymyr Gudz, Deputy Director General for Human Resources, welcomed the participants. He emphasized the advantages of working at a power enterprise and encouraged the youth to choose specialties related to nuclear energy to join the KhNPP team in the future.

Volodymyr Tsybulskyi, Chairman of the Netishyn branch of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society (UkrNS), also addressed the audience. He presented a guide for future applicants titled “The Path to a Career in the Nuclear Industry,” created by JSC “NNEGC Energoatom” in cooperation with the Ukrainian Nuclear Society.

During the event, participants of the Nuclear School got to know each other through an interactive icebreaker game.

As part of the project, Vasyl Skrypniuk, Deputy Head of the Training Center, delivered a lecture titled “Profession — Power Engineer” and answered numerous questions from the students.

The goal of the project is to popularize nuclear energy, establish partnerships between the enterprise and educational institutions of Netishyn and the 30-km observation zone of KhNPP, and maintain a positive image of the power plant to form a high-quality potential personnel reserve for Khmelnytskyi NPP among students.

The career guidance and educational project “Nuclear School,” organized by Khmelnytskyi NPP with the support of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society, will last for seven months. Participants will enjoy tours of the industrial site and main KhNPP departments, lectures, and practical assignments from managers, leading specialists, and instructors. The program also includes business games, networking with representatives of specialized universities and young specialists, and internships in various positions at the power enterprise.
