The Ukrainian Nuclear Society has joined the “Summer School of Nuclear Physics” for high school students

The Ukrainian Nuclear Society has joined the “Summer School of Nuclear Physics” for high school students held at Karazin University.

The Educational and Scientific Institute “Faculty of Physics and Technology” at Karazin University (Kharkiv), with the support of the European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN) is organizing the “Summer School of Nuclear Physics” for high school students from August 19 to 23.

The program of the school includes:

• Fascinating lectures by leading Ukrainian scientists;

• A master class in nuclear medicine;

• Tours of laboratories and the Nuclear Physics Museum;

• Interactive themed games and valuable prizes from the organizers.

On the first day of the school, several events were held by the Ukrainian Nuclear Society. These included a lecture for the participants on the topic “The Current State and Prospects of the Nuclear Industry in Ukraine and the World,” as well as an interactive game titled “How a Nuclear Power Plant Works,” organized by members of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society in Yuzhnoukrainsk, where students participated in competitions simulating real production processes at a nuclear power plant.
