The European Nuclear Society General Assembly was held

On December 14, 2023, the General Assembly of the European Nuclear Society was held, during which reports on the organization’s activities, plans for the future were outlined, as well as elections for the ENS President, and Board members were held. The event was held in a mixed format.

The Ukrainian Nuclear Society, within the framework of a certain quota, took part in the discussion and in the voting.

As part of the event, the European Nuclear Society President, Leon Cizelj, reported on the organization’s activities during the reporting period. Leon Cizelj also noted the need to continue work on the further positioning of nuclear power in Europe as an effective and safe source of low-carbon energy and comprehensive informational assistance to EU countries that have decided on the development of nuclear power and the implementation of projects for the construction of new NPP power units.

During the meeting, reports on the work of the European Nuclear Society youth unit European Nuclear Society – Young Generation Network and the Society’s Supreme Scientific Council were presented.
