Ukrainian Nuclear Society and the Trade Union of NNEGC Energoatom Sign Cooperation Agreement to Strengthen Industry Expertise and Support Professionals

The NGO “Ukrainian Nuclear Society” (UkrNS) and the Primary Trade Union Organization of JSC “NNEGC “Energoatom” signed an Agreement on Interaction and Cooperation. The document was officially executed by Volodymyr Kholosha, President of UkrNS, and Serhiy Snitkov, Chairman of the Primary Trade Union Organization of NNEGC Energoatom. 

The main objective of the partnership is to combine efforts to advance Ukraine’s nuclear power sector, promote industry knowledge, protect the labor and socio-economic rights of workers, and support human resources and scientific potential. 

Key areas of collaboration include:

  • Scientific and Technical Exchange: Engaging trade union members in UkrNS conferences, seminars, and roundtables, as well as providing analytical and methodological resources on the latest nuclear technology and safety achievements. 
  • Youth Engagement & Career Guidance: Integrating young trade union members into the projects of the UkrNS Youth Section, and organizing joint career-guidance activities, educational programs, and competitions for students and young workers in NPP satellite towns. 
  • Knowledge Transfer & Social Support: Facilitating nuclear knowledge transfer, mentorship, support for nuclear energy veterans, and advocacy for workers’ rights. 
  • Corporate Culture & Sports: Implementing joint youth, cultural, and sports initiatives aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and corporate culture among company employees. 

Volodymyr Kholosha, President of UkrNS, emphasized:

“A systematic exchange of information, scientific knowledge, and technical expertise is vital for the progress of Ukraine’s nuclear energy sector. Combining UkrNS’s experience in industry advocacy and research with the trade union’s reach allows us to create stronger opportunities for nuclear energy professionals and attract young talent to the industry”. 

Serhiy Snitkov, Chairman of the Primary Trade Union Organization of NNEGC Energoatom, noted:

“High engagement from our specialists and trade union activists will ensure the efficient implementation of our joint initiatives. We are joining forces to protect workers’ interests and foster the comprehensive development of our teams”.
