Online Presentation of the “My Career in the Nuclear Industry” Platform

On June 27, 2025, the Ukrainian Nuclear Society (UKRNS) hosted an online meeting to present the new web platform “My Career in the Nuclear Industry.” This modern information resource is designed for applicants, students, teachers, and anyone interested in professional growth within the nuclear sector.

The platform, available at www.career.ukrns.org, was developed by the NGO “UKRNS” with the support of JSC “NNEGC Energoatom” as part of the international Nurecab project. It serves as a navigator for future specialists in nuclear energy, science, engineering, and related fields.

During the webinar, participants received up-to-date information regarding the 2025 admission campaign, the benefits of specialized education, internship opportunities, and future employment prospects at nuclear industry enterprises. 46 participants took part in the event.

Key participants included:

  • Representatives of the NGO “UKRNS” and JSC “NNEGC Energoatom”;
  • Leading faculty from technical universities, specifically:
    • Prof. Yevhen Pysmennyi, Director of the Institute of Atomic and Thermal Energy at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI);
    • Prof. Valeriy Tuz, Head of the Nuclear Power Plants Department at KPI, and lecturer Dmytro Fedorov;
    • Prof. Mykhailo Semerak, Head of the Department of Thermal Power Engineering, Thermal and Nuclear Power Plants at Lviv Polytechnic National University, and Deputy Head Assoc. Prof. Taras Kravets;
    • Professor of the Nuclear Power Plants Department at Odesa Polytechnic National University;
    • Representatives of the Rivne NPP, including Serhiy Vakulich, Deputy Head of the Human Resources Department.

The organizers expressed their hope that this new platform will become a reliable guide for young people, helping them make an informed career choice and opening doors to a future in the strategically vital field of nuclear energy.
