Spray Pool Construction Completed at the South Ukraine Energy Complex

On March 18, Petro Kotin, President of SE NNEGC Energoatom, visited the South Ukraine Energy Complex together with the company’s management team.

During the visit:

A technical meeting was held between Energoatom’s leadership and representatives of the South Ukraine NPP;

Facilities designed to protect critical infrastructure at the plant were inspected;

The progress of spray pool construction was assessed.

“We have essentially completed one of our top-priority projects — the full-scale construction of spray cooling ponds. They are now being commissioned, which will enable us to increase electricity generation at the existing capacities by lowering the temperature of the reservoir water used to cool the NPP turbine condensers. This will also contribute to improving the environmental situation in the region surrounding the plant. I thank the specialists of SUNPP for implementing this strategically important project,” said Energoatom President Petro Kotin.
