Verkhovna Rada Supports Decision to Purchase Equipment from Belene NPP for Completion of Khmelnytskyi NPP Units No. 3 and No. 4

On February 11, the Ukrainian Parliament adopted a decision allowing Ukraine to purchase equipment from the Bulgarian Belene Nuclear Power Plant for the completion of two units at the Khmelnytskyi Nuclear Power Plant.

A total of 269 Members of Parliament voted in favor of this decision.

Energoatom welcomes this strategic decision by Ukraine’s lawmakers, as it will enhance the country’s energy independence and security, contribute to the further development of nuclear energy, and strengthen the national energy system.
