A member of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society has been elected to the High Scientific Council of the European Nuclear Society

Pylyp Kuznietsov, Director of the Educational and Research Institute “Faculty of Physics and Technology” at and a member of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society has been elected to the High Scientific Council of the European Nuclear Society.

The High Scientific Council (HSC) consists of scientists of high repute from several European countries. The HSC is a scientific body within the Society that advises the ENS on nuclear-related developments in different science fields, including Physics, Biology, Medicine, Engineering and Social Sciences. As well as serving as a think-tank and advisory body, the HSC provides statements on behalf of the ENS to the outside world on matters related to science and technology, and their impact on society. Pylyp Kuznietsov’s candidacy was nominated by the Ukrainian Nuclear Society to represent both the NGO and Ukraine in this prestigious scientific body of the European nuclear community. He holds a PhD in physics and mathematics in the field of nuclear physics, elementary particles, and high energies. He is an Associate Professor of the O.I. Akhiezer Department of Nuclear and High Energy Physics, Director of the Educational and Research Institute “Faculty of Physics and Technology,” and a member of the Academic Council of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University.

As a member of the UkrNS Pylyp Kuznietsov actively participates in organizing and conducting scientific projects and activities of the Society, as well as educational and career guidance initiatives for young people and international cooperation.
