UkrNS continues to support the Nuclear for climate (N4C) initiative

In 2015, the Ukrainian Nuclear Society became one of the signatories of the pan-European Nuclear for Climate (N4C) Declaration, a mass initiative that brought together more than 150 associations to inform the general public and policy makers about the need to include nuclear energy in carbon-free solutions to combat climate change.

It was co-founded and actively participated by our long-term partners, the European Nuclear Society. Together with our European colleagues UkrNS members joined in active explanatory and information activities on the importance of nuclear energy as an efficient and safe source of low-carbon energy.

At the end of 2023, the UN Climate Change Conference COP28 will take place. On the path to COP28, the Nuclear for climate (N4C) team continues to educate policy makers and the public about the need to incorporate nuclear power into carbon-free solutions to combat climate change. Nuclear for climate (N4C) team implements extensive information campaigns aimed at supporting nuclear science and industry.

More than three thousand members of the Ukrainian Nuclear Society themselves create and are actively involved in projects aimed at developing nuclear energy and positioning it as a necessary component to achieve a carbon-neutral future and preserve the climate. We are always glad to cooperate with our European colleagues in this direction, including within the framework of the Nuclear for Climate (N4C) initiative.
