A nuclear science hub will be created in Slavutych
In Slavutych, which is the youngest city in Ukraine built for the workers of the Chornobyl nuclear power plant, the North Ukrainian Nuclear Science Hub is being created.

The project is implemented by the Regional Development Agency and the city authorities of Slavutych with the involvement of interested parties.
The creation of a nuclear scientific hub aims to create conditions for the development of the scientific and business component of the nuclear industry, as well as the search for solutions for the development of green energy in Ukraine.
The hub will allow to combine the efforts of research institutes, educational institutions and energy companies to create new projects for nuclear power plants, solve problems of their operation safety, and develop related infrastructure.
The nuclear science hub will contribute to the development of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, will look for ways to further use alienated territories, develop green energy based on a closed power plant, and will allow considering projects for the storage and disposal of nuclear waste generated as a result of the operation of Ukrainian nuclear power plants.
In addition, it is planned to involve IAEA monitoring groups and scientists in the field of nuclear energy from all over the world to work within the framework of this project.
