March 30-31, 2017 The Ukrainian Nuclear Society conducted a training "Building Effective Communication with the Media and the Public in Nuclear Energy" for representatives of the press services of enterprises of the nuclear industry complex and nuclear power plants of Ukraine. The event was attended by representatives of the press centers of four nuclear power plants, Energoatom and VostGOK.
The aim of the event was to increase the skills and skills of specialists in the work with the public and the media working in the nuclear industry. In particular, special attention was paid to the issues of building communication with the public through the use of new approaches and tools. An important component of the learning process was the exchange of experience in dealing with a variety of, including crisis situations, related to the complexities of the current work of information services.
Skilled trainers spent two days of intensive training on the problems of internal, external and anti-crisis communications, as well as the latest information work tools. In addition, participants had the opportunity to practice writing press releases and carrying out group assignments to develop information strategies.
The training was organized with the assistance of the business school "Krok", which helped attract the best specialists in the field of information communications. In particular, specialists of AGAMA Communications, CorumGroup and others shared their experience of anti-crisis and internal communication with representatives of the press services of enterprises of the nuclear industry complex.
